StarMaker

Star Maker is a mini opera for voice and celestial radio emissions developed by Iris Garrelfs for the Science Museum London and Sound and Music to mark the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. It is loosely inspired by the science fiction novel of the same title by Olaf Stapledon which describes a history of life in the universe.

Star Maker was performed on 21st July 2009, right next to the Apollo 10 Command Module, supporting the first ever performance of Brian Eno’s Apollo: Atmospheres And Soundtracks by Icebreaker and BJ Cole.
